The Pickaway Co. and Adjacent Area Retired Teachers Group held its first meeting on December 9, 1967 at the Pickaway Arms, Circleville with 43 very interested persons in attendance.
The Pickaway County Retired Teachers' Association celebrated their 50-year anniversary on May 17, 2017 at the Pickaway County District Library meeting room. Three of the group’s 90-year-old members attending were recognized with a complimentary meal and a flower. The anniversary committee presented a program on how education has changed from the late 60s to now. At the end of the meeting, ORTA Interim Executive Director Pat Bateman presented a certificate recognizing the chapter's 50th anniversary.

​Currently there are 143 PCRTA members.

Our Purpose:
• Aid in the advancement of the public schools
• Foster good fellowship among retired teachers
• Promote interests and welfare of retired teachers and strive to keep them informed of
retirement system issues
• Promote and be volunteer teachers in any local education program

Holiday Place Mats for Pickaway County Nursing Home Residents
